Today was a great day but a long one as we are suffering from a bit of jet lag. The kids have been great however, and the tour guide even mentioned how well behaved and respectful they have been.
We started the day by walking up to the Acropolis and viewing what was the center of the ancient city of Athens. It was so amazing to be standing in the midst of such history.
We then took a stroll over to Mars Hill where Paul addressed the men of Athens in Acts 17. This was quite a great experience as we stood where Paul stood and read his address to each other.
We went to lunch at a spot just outside the acropolis museum which turned out to be quite the experience and not a good one. However, the kids did quite well, showing patience with a pace of life and ways they are not used to. After a brief respite at the hotel we traveled up the street to have dinner at a Greek Taverna and learn a few traditional Greek dances.
Dinner was excellent and now all of SCS ( well almost all) is tucked away getting a night of much needed sleep.
Tomorrow we got to a monastery and on to Corinth. Stay tuned for more pictures and updates....

It looks like everyone is having a great time! I'm so excited for the many experiences you all will have in Greece. Take care and know we, The Left Behind, are in prayer for your safety.
